The Parents
You are a very important part of the learning triad that includes you, your child, and myself. Often, parents assume that their middle schooler can handle the often daunting list of situations in a middle school day. However, most students in middle school still need some portion of parental involvement. To assure your middle schooler is working up to his/her potential as well as staying on track daily, and especially on long-term projects, it is highly recommended for you to visit our school district's grade site, PowerSchool, on a weekly basis. If you have any questions on assignments or grades, please go to the "contact" tab and send me an email. Should you like to speak to me in person, please mention this in the email and share a number and time that is best for me to get back with you.
Remember T.E.A.M. ... together everyone accomplishes more!
I will implement to the best of my ability anything you are doing a home to assure your middle schooler's success.
PowerSchool: Go to www.wcsoh.org and then to the ParentPortal button.
Volunteering
If you have or know someone who has an expertise in an area of history that we are studying and would like to share with the classes, the students and myself would love to have a guest. Please contact me in as much time in advance as possible, so arrangements can be made. It is a great opportunity for the students to have adults within our community helping them engage in the acquisition of knowledge.
* To view topics what will be studied, please view the 8th Grade and the 7th Grade units tab under each grade level on the blue pages bar.
