Walnut Springs Behavior Policy -
While consequences will be given for minor behavior infractions in class, Walnut Springs has a procedure for tracking student behaviors that will be also be followed. The school procedures for minor offenses include:
1. For the first inappropriate action, the student's name and inappropriate action will be recorded on a staff shared Google Doc.
2. The next inappropriate action will be recorded on the shared Google Doc again, and the staff member who input the information will phone or email the parent to let the parent know. Student will be assigned a lunch detention as well.
3. The third inappropriate action will also be recorded on the shared Google Doc, and students will be called to the office and assigned a consequence. This could include Wednesday school, which runs from 3:00 to 5:00 on the day assigned or other consequences as the administrator's see fit.

Don't do anything to interrupt your own or other students' learning.
Mr. Kuhar's Policies, Procedures, And Expectations Overview -
1. When arriving in class, come in an sit down. This is a time to prepare for class, not a time to walk around and socialize. So, go to your seat. You will be considered tardy if you are not in your seat when the bell rings.
2. As soon as the bell rings, class starts. Be ready with your work out and everything that does not pertain to history class put away. Read the class agenda as well as the log board, so you know what to do.
3. If you were absent, you need to check the Schoology log. When you return, see the teacher to get missed assignments and turn in any work already complete. It is your responsibility to get, complete, and turn in your absent work as well as arrange to take missed tests and quizzes.
4. Restroom privileges will follow the school's policy.
5. Check PowerSchool at least once a week to check you progress and grade. If you think something is incorrect or missing, please see the teacher at the end of class.
6. Keep your work organized in chronological order either in a binder or folder. You need to be able to access sheets quickly to avoid slowing down the class.
7. Do all daily work in pencil or pen (black or blue, not red or other colors), and always put your first and last name on your work as soon as you get it.
8. You are in class to learn, not socialize. Show this. Listen attentively and take part in class discussions.
9. Be respectful of all adults in the room, including substitute teachers.
10. The clock and the bell do not signify when it is time to end class. Class continues until the teacher indicates it is time to pack up and dismisses you. You are also expected to be in your seat until the teacher dismisses you, not standing by the door.
